The Castle Conquest Fundraiser

During July, members of the centre management team, support staff, retail staff, and friends from Castle Court Shopping Centre, will be taking on a ‘mile a day’ challenge to raise funds for The Wales Air Ambulance.

20+ participants have pledged to ‘run, walk, ride, or roll’ in a combined challenge to clock up a minimum of 620 miles. To mark the distance, they’ll be travelling ‘visually’ to castles around Wales, starting from their base opposite Caerphilly Castle.

The aim is to raise a minimum of £500 in what will be the 25th year of The Wales Air Ambulance.

They’re taking on the challenge and would love your support – whether joining in to spur them on, donating to this worthy cause, or in any other way you can!

The Wales Air Ambulance

The Wales Air Ambulance delivers advanced lifesaving medical care to people across Wales 24/7.

They are the only air ambulance charity, based in, and dedicated to, the people of Wales and rely entirely on charitable donations to raise £13 million every year to keep the helicopters in the air and fleet of rapid response vehicles on the road.

The charity was formed on St. David’s Day, 1 March 2001, and operates from bases across Wales. Since their inception, they have attended over 57,000 missions and are on standby to attend those suffering a life or limb-threatening injury or illness.

This year the charity marks its 25th anniversary, a significant milestone celebrating a quarter of a century of saving lives across Wales. Across the country, individuals, communities and organisations are joining the 25th anniversary celebrations, raising funds and supporting this vital service.
